Task Six:
Codes & Conventions of a Double Page Spread
-Half of the article is taken up by a picture
-Pictures often bleed across from one page to the other, strapline/border often used to bleed across DPS
-Brief intro paragraph at the start of the article- Stand First- always by the headline and before the article, works with the headline to introduce the article
-Drop cap at the start of the article-visual cue
-Bold text for first paragraph, somtimes a slightly larger font
-Simple colour scheme
-Headline is biggest text on page-bleeds across both pages
-Columns, usually 3 or 4
-More than on image used
* smaller images used to break up the layout of the text and make it more inviting
*panels, boxes and quotes are also used
-Quotes sometimes used on main image
-Byline
*name of journalist that wrote the article

*of photographer positioned in or by the stand first or at the end of the article
