Evaluation
My front cover and contents uses the conventions of other magazines as the subject brief specifically states that the picture on the front cover should be a medium close up of a student, and this is what i have used. My front cover follows the codes and conventions of a magazine front cover because my main cover line anchors the main image, the title is one word and it is the largest text on the page, my Coverlines provoke interest. It has an issue date and a price, also it has a barcode. However, I forgot to include a positioning statement, and a tagline.
My contents page also follows the codes and conventions of a contents page because on my pictures are the page numbers that relate to the content, it is set out into three columns, it has one main image and other small images which relate to the content.
For my contents page I used Quark Xpress and with this I found it easier to make my contents page.
The weaknesses of my media product are that i haven't followed all of the codes and conventions of a magazine front cover and contents page.
